Taste of Kangaroo steak left me drooling.
April of this year, I had an opportunity for the first time to visit Melbourne. On the back of my mind, where ideas, wishful traveling places store, perheps sometime in the past, I was visioning to visit this place. After eighteen hours of flying, the touchdown in Melbourne was pretty smooth. Even though I slept zero hours during my flight, didn't have a jet-leg feeling.
Security check point upon arrival? Almost five check points with high level of advisory, which took about an hour and half to go through.
The ride into the city via motorcycle was beautiful experience as the weather was sunny and clear sky. From a distance it reminded me of Chicago, and as I got closer to the city same feeling. Very strange feeling, like I have visited Melbourne in the past. It felt very familiar. Traffic was smooth with pedestrians crossing the busy streets from every corner. Diversity of people amazed me. Especially the wardrobe styling, very unique and individual, which something you don't see regularly in America, where majority of the generation dresses what is trendy, brandy or popular. Came across very modern vintage boutique called JiStudio, IG @jistudioau. Very warm, elegant and feminine styles.

As far as food, a foodie, who likes to try different cultures cuisine. Wandering through the streets, amazed by the creativity and sampling various elements of Japanese cuisine. I was able to explore a local farmers market Queen Victoria and grab a cappuccino from a coffee spot Market Lane. Very smooth and smoky in flavor, with ahh moment of taste. This farmers market is only open on Sunday's.
Tip: Grab some fresh oysters and enjoy the day in a park.
Oh wait...have you ever tried kangaroo steak? Initially, I was quite reluctant and not willing to give it a chance, however, it was the most tastiest meat. As I am writing this, I am drooling about the whole experience all over again. The pub restaurant is called Napier Hotel, in a vibrant suburban area of Fitzroy.
The beach. Riding along the Brighton Beach coast. About twenty minute drive from the city. Despite the very windy day, it didn't prevent me from dipping my feet into the water. Lukewarm water, kitesurfers, colorful beach huts, and the distant view of the city's skyscrapers was so nostalgic. The Victorian homes near the coast highlight the historical importance of the era.
Dear readers, when you're having fun, six days pass by quickly. Perhaps, you may visit for yourself and explore for longer and see what the city of Melbourne has to offer.
Much love and blissings,
Gasija
