In today's world, with health being a highly popular subject of concern for everyone, there are numerous methods available to support our body in achieving optimal functionality and balance.
Writing from my own experiences, fasting has become a regular practice for me each quarter as a way to show gratitude to my body for maintaining my vitality and liveliness. Research supports the benefits of fasting for our well-being, suggesting that consuming three meals a day is not essential for our body's daily functions. By eating fewer, higher-quality foods at specific times of the day, our bodies can thrive more effectively. Understanding my Doshas has further enhanced my awareness of how my body responds to the food I consume. Doshas are unique mind-body composition, which comprises the five elements of our being. It's very known in Ayurveda principles and practices.
Typically, I fast for 16 hours each day to help my body reset. I aim to drink temperature-controlled Spring Water consistently throughout daylight. After finding a special mineral-rich Spring water source in Sedona, I plan to visit monthly to collect water directly from the spout of this unique stone formation.
In the morning, I start my day with freshly squeezed lime water and a tablet of molecular hydrogen from Cymbiotika. For lunch around noon, I have a meal of lean protein and vegetables. My early dinner typically includes grains, protein, and fruit. Before bedtime, I drink Shilajit with warm water. Once a week, I fast with only Spring Water. Every quarter, I engage in a more intense cleanse lasting three to five days, which includes bone broth soup, plant protein smoothies, or simply drinking Spring water, depending on what my body needs. During this cleanse period, I eliminate gluten, processed sugars, fried foods, and alcoholic beverages.
Indeed, this is not an extremely strict dietary regimen. I do like to visit, perhaps once a week a local café for a cappuccino with pastry after my lunch meal or occasional dinner outing with friends with glass of spritzer. Balance is important in my diet and having the awareness of what my body feels like after a meal is crucial. After conducting a recent live blood analysis, it was found that there were some heavy metals and free radicals lingering in my blood. As a solution, I have started a 30-day regimen of a restricted diet and cleansing. By sourcing fruits, vegetables and protein from local farmers, I am following a strict routine of Chaga tincture, activated charcoal, enzymes, Vitamin D and C, and probiotics. I will undergo a retest after 30 days and will update further on my progress. Two years ago, I did this type of testing and obtained similar results in my blood, which enabled me to completely cleanse my blood with very strict regime within 30 days.
Much love my dear readers, August has arrived, bringing hot summer days that are even more intense on the horizon. Let's remember to keep ourselves hydrated, eating lightly and grounded during this time.
Blissings,
Gasija
